The House

The special charm of Casa Arcoiris is the beautiful view across the town of Ojochal towards the Pacific Coast of the Marino Ballena National Park. Situated in the outskirts of the town, the house borders onto the Rain Forest. Toucans, Howlers and Aras are frequent visitors around Casa Arcoiris- The altitude on the slopes of the Cordillera generates a gentle, refreshing breeze and guarantees a pleasant period of sojourn.

It takes 10 minutes by car to get down to the beaches.

The Casa Arcoiris comprises of a large, well equipped kitchen - diner, 3 bedrooms with a King size bed in each of them as well as 3 bathrooms. The bedrooms are built around a big verandah with fully equipped outdoor kitchen, dining area and chill out zone. Adjacent to the verandah is a patio with swimming pool ( 4m x 8m ) from where you can enjoy a stunning view of the Pacific.

The house is surrounded by a beautiful, well kept tropical garden . At the back of the house a double car port is to be found.

All rooms are equipped with ceiling ventilators and air-condition.
The King sized beds are 2m x 2m, offer sufficient room for 2 people (also 2 adults + 1 child or 3 childs)

OJOCHAL

Ojochal is often referred to as the culinary centre of Costa Rica.
An uncountable number of Restaurants from indigenous “Sodas” to international high quality cuisine are to be found in Ojochal.
Ojochal is an inspiring place with an active, international community.
Ojochal is dedicated to a gentle tourism, to stay in unison with nature.
High-rise Hotels or Ballerman attitude are not to be found. Instead you find unusually friendly people, willing to accept tourists with open arms.

The town offers all matter of tourist attractions, trying to stay in agreement with nature. Activities like riding, hiking, mountain biking or quad tours are carried out in small groups .
Holiday makers will find everything they need in Ojochal and neighbouring towns like Supermarkets, shops, Restaurants, Bars and Cafes, Doctors, Pharmacies, Vets, Car rental and all matter of tourism offers.

Police Stations in Ojochal and Uvita guarantee safety. The nearest well equipped Hospital can be found in Ciudad Cortes, app. 20 minutes south of Ojochal.
A number of American - standard Clinics are situated in San Jose.
English is understood well everywhere although a few words in Spanish can bring out a smile in the faces of locals.

LOCATION

Casa Arcoiris is situated about 2 km inland, in a slightly raised position.
Travelling by car is advisable, a 4 x 4 is essential to manage the last 100m to the house.

Travelling tieme between San José and Ojochal takes about 3 1/2 hours, there is also a regular bus service from San José via Ojochal to the border of Panama.

The nearest Air Port is Palmar - Sur, serviced daily by small air craft.
Ojochal is also close to the Corcovado National Park in the South and the border to Panama, which can be reached by car in about 1,5 Hrs.
Other towns in the vicinity are Uvita in the North and Ciudad to the South.

The beautifully quiet beaches on the Pacific coast can be reached within minutes by car.
